Happy Birthday Papa

We are having a great time now. Very relaxing. Sophie had her medical exam yesterday, alot of the babies were very scared and crying, not Sophie she starts playing with the nurses and doctors, the doctor finally just kissed her. We are having alot of fun talking to the locals, they are very positive about adoption here. All American adoptions eventually go through here, so that was about 6400 american families last year. This however is not like the rest of China, there is alot of money, little stress. Stark contrast to rural China. There are 13 babies with just our group now, probably 40 in the hotel. Some from the other Provences are malnourished, anemic and a little ill. They make great strides everyday. The orphanage they came from just started and they didn't really know how to care for the babies. We have one little girl who has a cleft lip/palate, she is 2 1/2, she was with a foster mother and lived in a 1 room house with several other children, they were loved a great deal but had no running water, toilet, electricity. The woman was a christian though, what a blessing. We are going to Chinese Church today I will let you know how that goes. I will try to post some more pictures also.
Love to you all.
